A Niminy Piminy Murder:
The Major General has passed away but was it a natural death? And who is getting his assets? Secrets are revealed and the more our characters learn, the messier matters become. Who is responsible? The Pirate King? The Wandering Minstrel? The Princess or was it a Fairy? Find out in this fun production written by Brennan Bobish with Andy Hickly. Performed by members of the Pittsburgh Savoyards who also perform Mystery Theatre in Pittsburgh!
River City Swing Band:
When jazz came into prominence on the American social scene, it had a steady pulse, a catchy melody, featured “hot” improvised solos, AND MOST IMPORTANTLY induced all who heard it to GET UP AND DANCE! Jazz intended for dancing, other than the strict style played for SWING events is a rarity. The RIVER CITY SWING BAND plays the treasures of the Great American Songbook in the manner and style that made them popular and CLASSIC! Jazz lovers find themselves caught up in the band’s lyrical solos, dancers can’t resist the group’s energy and stage show aficionados find themselves singing along all night to the lyrics of the Gershwins, Kern, Porter, Mercer, Berlin, Rogers etc.
Long time Pittsburgh music all-stars Dr. Kevin Clark/Piano, Rich Mansfield/Sax-clarinet-flute, Bob Patterson/Bass, Clem Rolin/valve trombone-vocals and Deb Weible/drums bring years of unrivaled experience to each performance.
