
Audition to be a part of our summer 2026 production – Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s Sherlock Holmes and the Web of Deceit, running from July 10 to 25 2026 with director Robert Hockenberry. Auditions are available in-person through our online audition form (see below).
We believe in and strive for inclusion, diversity, and representation in casting and encourage actors of all ethnicities, races, gender identities, ages, and body types to audition.
Rehearsals are expected to begin the week of May 10.

Saturday, April 25th from 2:30 to 5:00 pm, and
Monday, April 27th from 7:00 to 9:00 pm

Before your audition:
Please prepare a monologue of no longer than 2 minutes. Cold readings will also be available.
Please fill out our digital audition form ahead of time and be sure to indicate which time slot or slots you are available. We will compile the responses into a final schedule and contact you about your scheduled audition time. Walk-ups are also welcome if time allows.

Available Roles
Sherlock Holmes — male, 30s-40s. Intelligent and collected, he is always observing, a bit conceited, and often brusque on accident. He feels a duty to use his gift of intellect for good.
Dr. John Hamish Watson — male, 30s-40s. Former army doctor who was wounded in battle. He is amazed by Holmes, but is no stooge.
Inspector G Lestrade — male, 40s-60s. Inspector at Scotland Yard. Not incompetent, but close minded. Hates asking for help, but puts this aside for the public good.
Inspector Alec MacDonald — male, 20s-30s. The newest inspector at the Yard and the only one Holmes respects, but he can be a bit of a hot head. Requires Scottish accent.
Mrs. Hudson — female, 40s+. The no-nonsense owner of 221B Baker Street. She is both fascinated and at times repulsed by Holmes. Excited when she can help on a case.
Irene Adler — female, 30s. Retired actress and Holmes’ intellectual equal. She uses the way men underestimate her for being a woman as a weapon and uses her formidable arsenal of skills she learned during a life on the stage.
Mary Morstan — female, 20s-30s. Neglected daughter of a murdered general, she has had to stand on her own since her childhood. Eventual wife of Dr. Watson.
James — male, 40s-50s. A cold and calculating genius who puts his skills to nefarious use – but can never be caught being directly involved.
Sabine Moran — female, 20s-30s. The greatest shot in all of England with a large chip on her shoulder. She stays off the Yard’s radar for they never suspect a woman.
Wiggins — non-binary, late teens/early 20s. Leader of the Baker Street Irregulars. They work for James and Holmes – but who are they double crossing? They are able to blend in where others may be noticed.
Male 1 — age 20s-30s. Plays Alec Cunningham, Henry Peters, Man 1, and Jonathan Small.
Male 2 — age 30s-50s. Plays Giles Cunningham, McFarlane, Charles August Milverton, Douglas, Registrar, and Goon.
Female 1 — age 20s-30s. Plays Miss Stamford, Annie Frasier, Cecilia Barker, and Woman 1.
Female 2 — age 30s-40s. Plays Thea Shotlo, Mrs. Douglas, Woman 2, Female Goon 1, Messenger.
Female 3 — age 30s. Plays Kitty Winter, Charlotte, Female Goon 2, Woman 1.
