Join the Savoyards this Halloween for a special staged reading adaptation of one of the first vampire novels ever written!
Deep in the mountains of Styria, Laura lives with no one but servants and her father to talk to. One night, a strange accident brings the mysterious and sultry Carmilla to their door for an extended stay. She sleeps all day, will tell them nothing of her past, hates even the mention of religion, and begins to awaken things in Laura she never knew of herself. But Laura’s happiness is darkened by rumors surrounding the deaths of several young women in the area. Then a painting of Laura’s ancestor from 2 centuries prior is found, and she looks exactly like Carmilla. Who is this Carmilla? And can her secrets be discovered in time, or does death await them all? Based on the novel by J. Sheridan Le Fanu.
