Join the Pittsburgh Savoyards as we celebrate our 75th year with an elegant ball held in the grand ballroom of the Twentieth Century Club! The evening will include a variety of musical entertainment, delicious hors d’œuvre, and an open bar! Formal wear or Gilbert and Sullivan period costuming encouraged!
Entertainment
WQED‘s Jim Cunningham and Anna Singer, with long-time Savoyard Jim Critchfield will be your hosts in an evening filled with entertainment.
Members of the Pittsburgh Savoyards cast and orchestra will perform highlights of the Gilbert & Sullivan repertoire, including pieces from H.M.S. Pinafore, The Pirates of Penzance, The Mikado, and our upcoming Fall show, The Sorcerer!
The River City Swing Band will play the treasures of the Great American Songbook in the manner and style that made them popular and CLASSIC! Jazz lovers will find themselves caught up in the band’s lyrical solos; dancers won’t be able to resist the group’s energy and stage show aficionados find themselves singing along all night!
There will also be an exciting silent auction of baskets filled with artwork, gift certificates, and other items generously donated by our sponsors.
